A concert and opera pianist focusing on 19th-century piano repertoire, with a particular affinity for the music of Frédéric Chopin. His playing is shaped by a refined sense of natural phrasing, a singing tone, and a balance between structural clarity and expressive freedom.
He is a graduate of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, where he studied under Professor Jerzy Sulikowski. Since 2023, he has been associated with Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz as a répétiteur, alongside an active concert career.
As a répétiteur, he is involved in the preparation of opera and ballet productions, working closely with singers and performing piano and keyboard parts within stage projects. His repertoire spans Italian and German opera, Polish opera (including Moniuszko), Viennese operetta, and 20th-century music. His stage work includes productions such as “An American in Paris” (choreography by Krzysztof Pastor, solo piano part).
His path to music was shaped by an initial engagement with the sciences. After completing early and advanced musical education, he studied mathematics and computer science at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, later working for several years in the IT industry as a programmer, systems analyst, and project manager.
A turning point came during his time in Florence, where he participated in a one-year Master of Research programme in Economics at the European University Institute. It was there that he returned to intensive piano practice, and his early recitals were met with an enthusiastic response, ultimately leading him to pursue a professional career in music.
He is also active as a composer. In 2021, he received a distinction at the 62nd Tadeusz Baird Competition for his piece “What Rustles in the Forest” for four clarinets. He is also the co-creator of music and author of the script for the children’s stage work “Tola’s Birthday Adventure”.
